Would you pay £230 for an overnight stay that includes spa access

DPs birthday, and this is the cheapest (yet nice) one I can find. I still feel agog thinking £230 is a bill, fuel for the month etc but is this just what you pay for an experience like this nowadays?

4 star hotel, very small spa with pool, jacuzzi and hot tub. In the lakes. This is midweek prices.

This isn't directed to you OP but just a general comment on the thread, but after many years of always looking for hotels with pools/spas and always being disappointed (size/cleanliness/crowdedness), we've given up and now actively choose hotels without those facilities and find the hotels (of the same price range) to be far superior in terms of ambience, quality, food, accommodation etc. It's revolutionised our short breaks!

(Realise this might have something to do with our budget - we'd look to pay no more than £175 per night B&B - hopefully at £230 you'll get a great hotel and great spa experience! But I echo the previous poster who said to look carefully at the spa details and reviews)

In short, yes. There is a spa near me that is similarly priced (however includes breakfast in the rate) and i have stayed there 4 times. It is a lovely place so I think it's worth it for a special occasion

Oops sorry for the drip feed

It includes breakfast and is 230 for 2 people for one night.

No treatments?

So essentially just a bed and breakfast with spa access?

I wouldn't pay that. I'd book a cheaper hotel near a spa and spend the money on massages etc.

Dying to know the hotel!

I depends on the hotel ultimately. But yes I'd pay that for something nice with a proper nice spa.

Personally no because I don’t like spas. I’m more of a £45 premier inn girl!

StopGrowingPlease · 25/01/2023 19:21

I'm thinking of booking one night at the cbeebies Hotel at Alton towers for double that for my sons 2nd birthday 🙄 Experiences cost a lot 😬

EyesOnThePies · 25/01/2023 19:30

How much money’s worth do you get in the spa in a one night stay? If you can check in from 3 and need to check out by… when?

Lulu1919 · 25/01/2023 19:35

Not for me
I'd want dinner at least inc
And a proper spa with relax room and aromatherapy therapy rooms hot beds thermal showers

getreadyy · 25/01/2023 19:40

Try Formby Hall. Their winter break includes dinner and discounted treatments and is less than that.

Anoisagusaris · 25/01/2023 19:41

That’s not a spa….just regular hotel pool facilities

OpportunityKnockss · 25/01/2023 19:42

I think it’s good value, I’d pay that.
