I’m a new mum! And new here ! I’m trying to organise fun day out for all my girls since having a baby I’ve not really left the house! Does anyone have any suggestions of what they’d love to do?

Who are all your girls? Your friends? Mums group?

Afternoon tea is a good shout

Daisylester · 25/01/2023 07:53

Coffee, lunch or both out, alongside some shopping or a local village that's nice to potter around. It'll just be time ro enjoy without DC. If they like bowls, mini golf you always do something like that.

I'd suggest brunch somewhere lovely.

ThatshallotBaby · 25/01/2023 08:03

National Trust House and cream tea. Lovely.

Daisylester · 25/01/2023 08:03

Oohhh good shout, Thankyou!

If it is all new mums I'd keep it fairly short if babies aren't coming. So afternoon tea, lunch out, coffee.

If babies are coming - again lunch out in a family friendly place. Do you have a city farm/farm attraction nearby?

Daisylester · 25/01/2023 08:04

Yes cannot go wrong with a nice lunch! Thankyou x

Aquarium with babies is fun and they often get in free.

Daisylester · 25/01/2023 08:05

It’s a mix babies / toodles but no they’re staying at home ! It’s mum time ! Yes we’re Surrey area so we have access to both

Depends where in Surrey but I know loads of good brunch spots 😍 also dinner out is really nice with the girls. Nice to get dressed up.

OpportunityKnockss · 25/01/2023 08:10

As it women’s only how about a lunch, possibly a spa day or afternoon performance at a local theatre although this option may not work if anyone needs to do a school
pickup?

Daisylester · 25/01/2023 08:10

I couldn’t agree more !! Think I’ll need a lesson on how to put make up on my face it’s been THAT long !

Ooh excellent! I'd leave it to the group to decide which option they'd prefer - so spa day, afternoon tea, champagne brunch. That way everyone can decide how long they want to be away from their kids/budget.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 25/01/2023 08:18

If you are on WhatsApp with them I'd start a Poll

  • brunch
  • afternoon tea
  • evening cocktails
  • game for anything

Then just go with the response that gets the most votes

Wherever you go make it somewhere you absolutely wouldn't go with kids. A restaurant that you'd never take babies in to, a spa for adults only, lovely trinket shops the kids would trash, that kind of thing! You want to be thinking throughout the day how awful it would be if the kids were with you 😂
