When did your baby move into 3-6 month clothes?

My daughter is 7 weeks old and already her 0-3 babygrows are too small I think 😩. They fit fine on the arms and body but she can't straighten her legs fully and some of the feet on them are too small. So I've just been putting her in vests/ leggings and socks. I've got her some 3-6 months babygrows though and they're massive on her?? Am I doing something wrong? New to all this. Should I just stick to the vest and leggings combo until she's big enough for 3-6? I'm worried her legs and feet will be damaged in the 0-3. When did your babies move up a size?

Just put them in whatever fits. My 4.5 months old has just moved into 3-6 month clothing. She was 5lb when she was born.

Sizing is different in every brand. Also it depends on the child.

My DS is 3 and 4-5 tops, 5-6 trousers! Just switch when you need too.

Make up a bundle and put the items they have outgrown on a selling website and get back some money to buy the next lot.

Good idea re a bundle and no was putting the 3-6 months on new so will give them a hot wash and try them again.

I'm finding dressing her an absolute minefield. Put her in a dress and tights for the first time at the weekend and spent the day pulling it down as it kept going over her face! I feel like she can't spend her life in babygrows when we go somewhere but the little outfits are a nightmare 😵

Do both of you a favour and keep her in babygrows for now! Much easier for you and more comfortable for her than pretty tights and dresses etc. I hated stuff that fitted around the waist on DD, it always looked tight and uncomfortable, even in leggings in 9-12 when she was 3mo! She's skinnied out a bit now so fits into them - in fact she's still wearing some 9-12 stuff at 14mo...

DS had a pair of shorts in age 2 that he wore from about 6mo to about 4yo (summer only). He was a fat baby and a skinny child!

Agree with PP re different brands. I found Mamas & Papas grows fitted both of mine quite well, M&S were too long and skinny, H&M teeny tiny (but fitted great if I sized up a year or two!), Sainsbury's a bit on the big side... Don't focus on label sizes, just hold things up and guess, it's about as accurate!
