Hitting 47 and getting lots of redness around nose and slightly on cheeks I don't think it's roses.

Laser?

So the red vein is still there

Does anyone know, are there specific treatments recommended for (a) rocacea, (b) UV damage, and (c) telangiectasias or thread veins?

There seems like so much information to wade through.

I had some of mine done by a lady near where l work who is extremely reasonable and knows her stuff. She's taken skin tags/solar keratoses/milia off for me, and she (injected?) some of my capillaries and did some by diathermy to see which worked best.
I have rosacea and quite a few broken capillaries.
Unfortunately my skin's extremely sensitive (porcelain redhead skin) and after two sessions she said she wasn't happy to do any more as l was bruising and scabbing quite badly (not unusual for me, l do bruise like a peach), and the treatments she could offer were too strong for my reactive skin.
She said that laser would be much better for me, but hers is a very small business and she doesn't have one (I suspect cost is an issue), but will let me know if she's able to get one in the future. I'd certainly go back and have that if she does, I've been very happy with the treatments l've had by her.

If anyone's in West Yorkshire (East Leeds specifically) and interested, l'd be happy to give you her website details.

@2023bebetter I think you've misread @mintbiscuit s post.
She said it was a bit red the next day, but covered fine with foundation.

You asked if her nose was ok and she said 'it's (the nose) still there!'.

I'm pretty sure she didn't mean the vein was there.

She was pleased with her treatment, said it works and is cheaper than laser.

Ok thanks 🤣

I've been quoted 130 for consultation and 365 per treatment

Gosh that seems like a lot. I got all excited at the idea, but it wouldn't be worth it for me.

@picklemewalnuts

Sorry only just noticed you asked me a question

my broken capillaries cost £50-£75
one session is all they need so I don’t know what people are looking at for multiple sessions and hundreds of pounds.

I don’t recall it being a laser.
skin genie Carlisle is where I went
