Autopsy report - is this possible?

I have a toxic and dysfunctional aunt who has been spreading rumours that my dad was starved to death by us. So not true, I was with him two days before he died and we went for a meal and spent the day together. He actually died of asbestos exposure and lung cancer. She claims she has a copy of the autopsy and this isn’t true and the findings say he had a tiny cancerous growth. She’s been putting this on facebook, it was told to me as I don’t have social media. Now I’m 99% sure this is bs, but I was wondering if it would be possible for someone to get a copy. I saw it can be requested but would be sent to a GP or doctor to talk through the finding. Can anyone request a random persons autopsy. It seems like it should be private.

I agree. And autopsy is in fact a correct term.

Lets not forget OP is grieving and grief can make us see things from totally unexpected perspectives.

Apologies, I misspoke. It is quite possible it was a paper inquest or a closed inquest.

@bloodywhitecatit was so odd as there was a date for the inquest booked and the coroner I spoke to called me to ask if he had worked with asbestos and where he had worked. My granddad worked in the same place and died of mesothelioma. Then suddenly inquest cancelled. I had a toddler, was pregnant and moving house so I just had so much on that I didn’t think about it much at the time and just accepted that it was all over and put it behind me.

I've only read your posts, but my understanding is that when they dont hold an inquest it's because they are certain of the cause and that its natural causes. After my dh's post mortem they didn't have an inquest because the PM made it clear what caused his death and that it was natural causes. (He didn't die in hospital or under the care of a GP so they did a PM)
I was going to ask if it was possible your Aunt was starting to have dementia as paranoia can sometimes be a part of that, but reading your other post about the family's behaviour they just sound nasty and nuts
Sorry you are going through this
