I have stress incontinence brought on by a severe bout of Bronchitis which went completely over my doctor's head. It was only when I started coughing up blood and peeing myself without even coughing that another doctor at the practice sorted the Bronchitis out.
It also left me with severe reflux and a hernia because of all the damned coughing
Since then I pee when I cough or sneeze. I have to wear pads all of the time.
My question is :- Since I am a pensioner and can't afford to buy this product (it is expensive) can I reasonably expect my doctor to prescribe it for me? I do not know the medical name for this product sorry

depends if it is on the list of medications that can be prescribed - doctors dont choose what is available on prescription, they are told.

Is it available of prescription? I would think it unlikely - but I might be wrong

I do not know is the easy answer ! I suppose I'll just have to ask. Failing that does anyone know of a similar product that they might have been prescribed by their doctor for incontinence ?

Yes. I started a thread about this but no one replied!

Contiform is available on prescription.

It’s disappointing that mumsnet are promoting something that is a) so expensive and b) not reusable / environmentally friendly
