I'm not saying this will work but some years ago my husband inserted a biro then hit it with a shoe. (Into the cork obvs)

Absolutely DO NOT DRINK wine from a broken bottle. Don’t sieve it. Throw it away.
Swallowing broken glass is not a bright idea.

Yes the banging shoe technique works! I've relied on it several times. But it might take some time and makes a hell of a noise.

Or you can push the cork right INTO the bottle. It'll be swimming in your wine but won't do you any harm Smile

I don't know the link between this and Jack Monroe I don't follow her. It's been such a shit day and I'm not thinking right and I don't know what to do anymore

Go to bed. Don't drink wine from.a smashed bottle, Jesus christ.

Tomorrow, buy a corkscrew.

Thistlelass · 15/01/2023 00:45

This is the kind of shenanigans I, as a drinking alcoholic, would have got up to. Not good.

purpleme12 · 15/01/2023 00:47

🤣I drink beer little actually.
But today's been shit

Oh god sorry that was actually supposed to say very little not beer 🤦‍♀️

The only alcohol I have in is red wine I bought for cooking weeks ago and I cava my work gave me before Christmas.

Alcoholic is laughable for me
