.... tell me all the secrets!
I don't drink tea.. coffee.. or anything coloured other than the odd can of fanta on a nightshift. I have tried the Whitening strips a couple of times and they seem to make a little difference but not that wow white.
I want that happy white smile!!

If you have your teeth whitened by a dentist it'll need doing every 6 months.

When I was a teenager I asked my dentist why my teeth weren't as white as others, he said it was because my enamel had high calcium content, consequently my teeth enamel was very strong.

I have always envied people with lovely white teeth, but on the other hand I have only 1 filling (65).

Meant to comment on this - powders erode enamel I am told, which will reveal the yellow dentine under the enamel.

Makes sense as the powder scours the enamel.

American whitening strips. They are stronger than the ones available in Europe.

By a dentist.

Those of you saying the dentist - is that a one off treatment at the surgery, or the trays you bring home and use every night with a gel?

Excuse the ignorance!

I had it done seven years ago (done gradually, wear a shield with a special bleaching gel in it for two hours each night for a few weeks) and my teeth are still beautifully white. And I drink tea and coffee.

I’ve had mine whitened by the dentist and it shifted the tone a fair few shades but was not gleaming white. when they showed me the colour charts natural shades are no where near what the Hollywood type smile suggests. I suspect there must be a lot of celebs with veneers.

@JenniferBarkley
Yeah, it's the 2 week/16 days treatment you do at
home overnight. ( My own Dentist laughed when I ask if he did the 20 minute UV light method, saying it doesn't work at all 🤔)

I hated it personally and the very worst thing was being unable to eat or drink anything' that would stain a white Tshirt' because I am a caffeine addict.. I drank red bull through a straw instead

I think genetics play a part. My teeth at the front are v white naturally. My husband’s are quite yellow and my oldest child takes after them. My younger child is more like me. None of us have many fillings and we all look after our teeth- it’s just how they are.

Thanks everyone- maybe worthwhile chatting to my dentist about has anyone used the Philips zoom treatments?
