One of three very high profile Yardbirds guitarists but a solo player and legend in his own right. He was 78.

An immense talent. He will be missed, but we have the music and I think he'd say that's all that ever mattered.

What was in the water in Surrey in the late 1940s and 1950s? Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck all grew up within a few miles of each other down there.
