Is this new road marking even legal?

I hate it. What on earth were they thinking? Can councils just design any style of road markings that they want?

I live there. Apparently they didn't factor in the need for space for cars to swing round into and off their drives. And that was the solution.... to prevent parking obstructing access. According to the lady in one of the houses.

Why didn't they use normal zig zags then Confused
