Do people in their 50s have the same abandon with love as those in their teens?

Just wondering if anyone of a more mature age experiences the same goody highs of young love or is seeking a new partner in later.life a more.considered affair?

Do old people fall in love? Of course we do. Love isn’t just for the young and Justine’s comment that menopause and children growing up makes you sit up and notice life was spot on for me. It’s finally time to think “what do I want?” And I’m setting out to find it. I’ve had a sexual reawakening and I’m hoping for an emotional one too! Good for her.

And she nailed it when she said that it’s sad to see a 30 year marriage as a failure because it didn’t last forever. My XH and I are better friends now than before and are even considering investing in a property/business together as we have similar goals and want to build a supportive future for our DCs, regardless of our marriage ending.

There are plenty of posts here about the devastation of relationship break up including the financial ramifications. Is any divorce truly liberating?

I guess to fall in love you have to fall out of love or is it possible to love two people.at once? Can relationship divides really be amicable or do we try and put up the best front about it in public?
