Best vs Worst fries?

Laying here hungry with LO asleep next to me. Craving fries. No chance of getting any tonight. So a girl shall dream 😂

Tell me the best/ worst fries you ever tasted?

Mine-

Best: Taco Bell tied with Morley's/ Favourite chicken

Worst: Five Guys Cajun (I'm so sorry this will be highly unpopular, but I find the seasoning to be way too much and fries carboard-y)

Worst fries: KFC.

Best fries: KFC with gravy.

Best: Captain's Rendezvous, New Quay, Ceredigion. These are proper chips, though: not fries.

Worst: KFC in the UK. Absolutely vile (and tiny portions).

Best: McDonalds
Worst: Burger King - so bad I have chilli cheese bites instead

Best - chippy chips, ever so slightly burnt. Completely dry. Plenty of salt.

Worst - five guys. They look great but the peanut oil is grim. Which makes them doubly worse as you're expecting great things. Bastards.

Best fries are those chips you get in good gastro pubs that are soft and fluffy inside but crispy outside and come really hot. Obviously use a lot of oil but somehow not greasy.

The worst chips ever are the French fries in gullivers world nerf zone in Warrington. Taste and texture of cardboard and cold to boot. Children's play centres and theme parks are generally awful for chips.

Ooh I just remembered another contender for awfulest chips: a chippy van on an aways caravan park in St ives Bay in Cornwall. Old oil. So disappointing. Fish was bad too. Sooo expensive for utter shite and by the time you'd got back to your caravan (in the rain) I couldn't be bothered to go back out and complain.

To be honest the non Cajun ones are good! It's just the Cajun ones I didn't like! Also. I love fries. So it's hard for me to pick one for worst, they're all okay when you're a potato queen
