Will travel insurance be okay with travelling Business Class with a fracture?

On hold to Allianz, but God they're slow - wondering if here might be faster! I flew out to a European capital recently to help my husband after he was hit by a car and had to have extensive surgery. We're flying home tomorrow and I need to know if they're going to be okay with me booking 2 business class seats so that DH can manoeuvre and I can help him. It's damn all improvement, tbh, but it will help a bit. But it's going to be £500 more.

Will they be okay with that, do you think?

I would definitely not book until you have spoken to them, each case will be different depending on circumstances. A friend was flown back first class after an accident on holiday but there are no guarantees I
wouldn’t have thought. Hope your husband is ok.

This will depend entirely on the location of the fracture.
Fractured vertebra, absolutely. Fractured wrist, no.
Full-leg cast you'd need an extra seat rather than BC.

Also, how long is the flight? Shorthaul Business class seats are identical to economy on most airlines.

The insurance company doctor will determine the best solution based on your husband's specific needs and the assistance centre will rearrange flights, wheelchair transfers etc as necessary.

Thank you both!
