I want to do more air bnb type breaks this year with my husband and just turned two year old. Live in London near Essex border. So far I have Rye and Canterbury. Throw your suggestions at me please!

I hear Black Pool is pretty nice to visit. And there’s the lovely Cotswold village which features some gorgeous scenery.

Do long day trips and come home. So much easier 😂

A little further but Weymouth is lovely for seaside as is swanage. Also oxford. There is a natural history museum which is free to get in to. Fantastic dinosaur display.

Definitely try Swanage in the summer it's great with a toddler. Proper seaside town.

Isle of Wight.

That place is amazing for family holidays. Took my eldest when he was 18 months. Went again with both kids when youngest was about 2.

So much to do there, small and easy to get around. The kids enjoy the short ferry ride (there's a small soft play on the ferry)

Great place.

Dymchurch , lovely old fashion amusements and rides, right on a sandy beach , you can get to Rye and Canterbury easily,
There's a light railway to take you to the lighthouse in dungeness . Two wildlife parks close by and a massive out door play park at the lower sands in folkestone, again right on the beach , drive 15 minutes and hire a boat to row along the canal if you go at Easter time . You can walk and get fresh fish straight from the harbour in folkestone too
Lots of lovely places to eat from posh to poor
