Something related to her interests/hobbies. I have endo and no particular gift would help apart from pain killers or a hot water bottle, which she presumably already has! So go for something small but thoughtful

Electric heatpack. Mine was a gift. I was using hot water bottles before that that were leaving me with burns. Electric heaters are flat enough to lie on in bed too.

Electric ‘heat pad’, which is like a small soft blanket which can be wrapped around the torso. I got mine from Amazon and wouldn’t be without it.

I don't think there is much of a market for endometriosis-related gifts. Just get her something that you think she would like. Is it her birthday or are you just getting her a random 'you've got endometriosis' present?

Whyisitsososohard · 08/01/2023 08:40

Does she have an electronic heat pad? That help me lots.

I assume she's had the gift of a 6 month prescription of norethisterone?

Just buy her something she'd like and tell her you know she's having a tough time at the moment. I'd find it a bit odd if someone bought me a present specifically for my endometriosis but everyone is always welcome to buy me flowers

I suffered for years and it took away my fertility. I'd have just appreciated spending time doing nice things with a friend. So a treat like a nice lunch or afternoon tea somewhere posh would have been nice.

Having someone to talk to about the illness and how hard it can be to cope and have them understand with would have been lovely. There was so little understanding of it when I was going through it and people dismissed it as just heavy periods.

ThalhavaraGoter · 08/01/2023 09:22

Another vote for the electric heat pad. It is a game changer. It isn't heavy and it doesn't go cold.

Also any food she likes to eat which can be seen as for when she has an endo flare up or just because she feels like it.

I actually think that it is lovely that you are doing this specifically for endo. I would appreciate it.

Fergie51 · 08/01/2023 13:33

Take it from other sufferers, the proper heated pad is a life saver!
Forget heated gel and oaty bags for the microwave etc.
You need to be immersed by a gentle heat you can control whether it’s for the tummy, thighs, back or hips.

What is the occasion?

fajitaaaa · 08/01/2023 13:52

Oh. I see sorry. It's because the endo is bad at the moment.

A really good heating pad system thing.
Some nice herbal tea? Treats she might like to eat?

janeseymour78 · 08/01/2023 13:54

Nice hot chocolate and optional marshmallows. Not something I buy for myself but helps me relax.

Mabelface · 08/01/2023 13:58

Definitely the heat pad, plus a bunch of home made meals so she can just heat and eat when she feels bad.
