Rod Stewart...creepy AF shudder

I accidentally caught some of an old concert with him on BBC4 last night - I was busy and the remote was the other side of the room.

Aside from the very creepy lyrics about being attracted to 'young' individuals, there was a song I'd never heard before that they said he'd written in 2013 following a 20 year time of blessing hiatus in his career. It was a bit of a personal puff-piece, thanking all his fans for standing by him and paid tribute to his 'God-given gift' of a voice. Hardly Matt Monroe or Pavarotti, is he?!

Pamela Stephenson, is she well liked? I've never trusted her. And never found her funny when she was in that news programme.

I liked NTNOCN, although she didn't get given many of the funny parts.

However, she sexually assaulted Nick Owen on live TV and he was expected to laugh it off good-naturedly and not defend himself. He and Anne Diamond later reported that he'd suffered a lot of pain over quite a period following the incident.

Urgh, she is awful.

Haha yes, she was pretty great. An ex colleague used to write fan letters to her (called her Miss Day) and she would always reply. Right up until she passed away.

loved her she had a crap life with her husbands-so nice she kept writing back

I've never met the woman and I'm sure she's lovely and very kind to old ladies and kittens, but she radiates a sort of nauseating smugness that makes me want to boak.

I'm also not especially mad about Miriam Margolyes these days, although I used to really like her and still do as an actor.

I think it's the 'getting paraded round talk shows as some foul-mouthed old person' thing that's grating on me.

Not that I don't think that older people should be hidebound by weird social taboos and should be as open and frank about sex / wanking / bodily functions etc as they like if that's their thing, but it just feels a bit done to death for me, now.

I realise this may also be kind of because I like actors to be actors - if I know too much about them as people, I struggle to separate the art from the artist, IYSWIM.

I am totally with you on this. I feel she gets booked as a guest in talkshows in the hope that she'll say something shocking. Which she always does.

There a few Americans with YouTube channels that do reaction videos and they're all getting asked to watch Miriam Margolyes being inappropriate on Graham Norton /This Morning so that's all they know her for. The acting seems to be second to all that.

I also used to really like Amanda Holden but now she grates on my nerves. She's over doing it with the Botox and fillers and now her face looks like it's been smacked by a trout to give it a youthful glow, but it seems to make her over exaggerate her reactions and I'm getting a bit tired of them. I have my moments with her though where I still think she's great and other times I want to throttle her
