Accidentally typing 1A into 1D by mistake was surprisingly helpful for me today.

I am glad that I managed to get all the "down' answers as I wasn't at all sure about 9A. I will have to quiz DD who ought to be revising GCSE Biology.

Similar experience, but I did even worse. Thought 5D was an animal name (wrong knot), thought 9A was just a word I'd never heard of, then took a long time to get back on track.

12:53 for me.

(I think it's good to disclose disasters like this, to show not everyone is a sub-minute whizz!)

I managed the grid ok but then got the letters in the wrong place in the PW so took ages to figure it out. 3:31...

I found the Plusword tricky 2:30. Thank goodness I knew the oxford college as some of the answers weren't words I have ever uttered.
