Grid fairly straightforward - took a while to solve the PW. 2:00 exactly for me.

@Floralnomad - based on scoredle.com/ which uses the Wordle dictionary, the only possibility for the PW other than the one they accepted is a certain item of clothing - but I guess that's too modern for the Telegraph (despite going back to at least the 1950s it would appear).

I am convinced I’ve got the crossword right, but I can’t have because it gives me 6 letters for the wordle.
Maybe I am doing the double letter thing wrong… if you have double letters in the across and both are coloured, then they appear twice in the wordle, but what about the downward words???

@Sunbird24 - as I hinted above, there is another word that works for the PW - take the accepted answer and change the second letter to get an item of clothing. It's in the dictionary!

@Teenytinyvoice you're only looking "across" the CW grid for the PW letter indicators. Today you should have 1 green and 3 yellow letters if the CW is correctly completed.
