@Hepzibar did your spelling involve the letter adjacent in the alphabet to the correct letter? I hesitated and second-guessed myself so left that letter blank until I completed the "down" clue

Lost 4 secs to pop-ups, then took a little while to find a way in. Ended up reading all the A clues then getting my first answer at 3D.
