Late back to the party here. The Telegraph wanted to charge me back in October, so I gave puzzling a break. I happened to be scanning through a library e-copy yesterday and spotted the puzzle was accessible again.

Of course I am now very rusty and had to guess the 1's (and couldn't remember how to spell 5D). 3:14

Yes it would be a 5 letter name! Trying to think of one that contains p & w, but struggling.
