I find the front page of the DM to be an interesting study. I used to think what stayed top and center was what was getting the most views but I have noticed that sometimes it really is a low interest story that stays there. I thought of this again as a video of one of Beckham's sons cooking meat has not been front and center for 24 hours. That can't possibly be a top story at this point? How many people care about a piece of meat being cooked?

Are the spots purchased? Is this a spot bought by the Beckham's as advertising in anticipation of a cooking show or a cooking related product launch?

Anyone know how this works?

Like you I presumed it was stories that got the most clicks that were at the top. The Brooklyn Beckham story probably got a lot of interest as there always seem to be a lot of horrible comments about him on there.
