Sweet! Finally a place for me to hide from the Toddler and washing up!

If you pop over can you fetch me a bit of Turkish delight?

Bard6817 · 05/01/2023 20:50

The original manuscript of ‘Spare’ has been located!!!

trulyunruly01 · 05/01/2023 20:50

Is the floor in an extension or a original part of the house?

How old is the house?

I’ve seen similar when there was a filled in cellar.

It's on the first floor so no cellars and the whole floor under it is concrete the tiles pictured around it are fake lino style tiles so no idea why the last owner did this other than to hide something ConfusedHmm

It would have to be at least 6ft deep to get a body in there 🤣 I'm thinking it's just shite cracked tiles that they pre skimmed before having the great idea of putting carpet down 😬

trulyunruly01 · 05/01/2023 20:56

Well that's blown my theory. I've seen similar in a conservatory extension where the owner had just decided to block off the manhole. Which was a great hassle for him when the drains running under got blocked and because they couldn't get into his manhole (I say vicar!!) the two houses further up the chain had sewage coming out of their manholes.
I'm so sorry, I'll get my coat.

Gandalfsthong · 05/01/2023 20:57

I’m thinking just a head.

But not if the body is in pieces. I watch way too much real crime.

It’s a body.

But buried upright.

Like Ben Jonson in Westminster Abbey (allegedly).

I like your thinking. 😈

Furloughedpissedoff · 05/01/2023 21:15

Someone's possibly fixed a leaking pipe, and had no tiles to replace the one's removed. The real question is, who on earth thought it was a good idea to cover the floor in carpet?🤔

Twoshoesnewshoes · 05/01/2023 21:21

Puréed body?

QueenOfThorns · 05/01/2023 21:23

Maybe it’s Shergar?

MadamLeota · 05/01/2023 22:34

Clearly it’s a sealed gateway into the upside down and when you open it a. Demo dog will jump out and bite your ankles. Probably.

It was squishy when we removed it too soo damp and filled with filth I was heaving Envy

So we had a dig about its just a random concrete patch over the lino for some reason could understand if it were actual tiles on the floor and not lino ones so god knows what the last owner has done to it 🤔maybe they really wanted to practice their concrete skills ready for the cellar at their new house 😬

Wishful thinking?

CatNutsRoastingByAnOpenFire · 06/01/2023 19:48

Not Trevor Jordache, he was under the patio.

Vitriolinsanity · 06/01/2023 19:49

If they cooked it could it have been poured in?

IDontWantToBeAPie · 06/01/2023 19:49

Probably a filled in basement

Cherrysoup · 06/01/2023 19:50

whiteclawsatdawn · 05/01/2023 20:43

It's not actually flat though I'm going to have to sand it right down and level it all to be able to put new flooring in last person that owned this place was a right bodger

Get levelling compound then put down whatever flooring you like. If the house was extended, that could well be a drain.
