More and More Things being Sold

Has anyone else noticed that more and more things, that would normally be taken to a Charity shop, seem to be up for sale on Facebook etc.

I appreciate times are hard and people need to recoup as much money as possible.

However, I've also been surprised as some things being sold look ready for the bin.

It makes me feel lucky that I'm not in that position!

Yes, I've noticed this too. Nothing worth buying either as they're charging too much for their rubbish as well!
I personally cannot be bothered with marketplace or eBay anymore though and have recently chosen to either donate or bin a load of things. More luck to them but last thing I want is a bunch of crap cluttering my house waiting to be shipped or collected- just get rid I say!

I look on fb and will buy stuff off there. I have sold but not a lot however I am much more picky about which charities I donate to. Some of our local charities are very management heavy and treat their volunteers poorly. They seem to have crazy prices that prey on vulnerable people thinking they are getting a bargain. I see anything negative about people selling things they own.

Ive been looking for a second hand sofa for a while now. But people are wanting nearly £1000 sometimes. If i had that money id get something new on finance and use it as deposit.

I wish there were more places you could donate to where clothes go directly to families in need. Round us, charity shops send most donations to rag recycling for wh cub rheybgetbpid a tiny amount but they clothes are wasted. They’ll keep the odd high end / nearly new item… but the Tu leggings which are perfectly wearable will be thrown out.

I don’t bother selling as I’ve been ripped off by buyers claiming things don’t arrive or pulling out after I’ve been charged fees etc.

I set up a Vinted account (for selling) 2 days ago. Have never sold stuff before. Have always taken to charity, am registered for gift aid with 2 local charity shops and they send me occasional emails with details of how much they have made from my donations. Over the last 2 years it has come to nearly £400. To be honest, that is money I could do with myself. So, am trying Vinted and will see how it goes. So far have sold £33 worth. Am crossing fingers it all gets delivered ok and then the funds will be released.
