Changing careers

I don’t actually know where to start this, I’ve had some major health complications at the moment, and as a result off work, as the cause is unknown (waiting on nhs app) I’m on medication that has started to make life a little better, but I’m unsure wether I can go back to the job I was in as it so highly stressful and very much risk of myself being harmed and causing more problems to my health, so I was thinking of a career change but am unsure if I’m to old in 36 and have been in the same area of work since I was 17 and the career path I was looking at I have no experience in so will have to start at the bottom and work my way up

36 is no age at all. You still have a good 30 years left before you can retire (probably a lot more by the time you get there). Don't write yourself off!

You have 20 years of experience in your current role, and with that will be transferable skills that you can apply to other careers.

I started work at 17 and do really quite well in my then career. Think six figure salary by the age of 30 - 20 years ago.

I changed career completely at 30 starting at the bottom and working up, until I was 42.

Divorced, couple of years off sick then another new career which I am still doing now and which I love.

These are completely new roles in completely new industries.

More so than ever in the last few years people recruit people and attitudes rather than skills and experience. The right people with the right attitude can learn most things fairly quickly.

Go for it.
