French Riviera - where to stay?

I have booked flights to Nice on a whim for DH and I as they were £70pp! (£120pp once luggage added…). We absolutely loved Nice when we visited last time. We are staying for 9 nights.

This time we love the look of Antibes however we are wondering if we should stay there for the entire 9 nights or whether we should stay there for say 5 nights then Menton for 4 nights?

Any recommendations of places to visit or places to stay would be much appreciated

If you're in Menton you could get the train into Italy, I went to the market in Vengtimilia and stocked up on Parmesan. There is a really fantastic cheese monger that has a huge queue!

Antibes and Juan Les Pins are practically joined together - you can walk or get the bus between the two. The Provençal market is lovely as is the Picasso museum - great views. There is a tourist train that takes you round Cap D'Antibes. You could get the train to Cannes. We had lunch last year on the terrace at the Hotel Belles Rives - which is the villa that F Scott Fitzgerald stayed in the 20s. Not especially cheap but absolutely gorgeous. And even less cheap, lunch at the Hotel Cap Eden Roc (during Cannes Film Festival) which was an experience and a half.
