Nurserymumm · 03/01/2023 10:21

Any mc or umc trends emerging now that lockdowns are over?
2022 trends seemed to be
-cold water swimming with the ubiquitous dryrobe
-camping & glamping with feral kids "returning to the wild"!
-state school
-11+
-tiled hallways

  • mc & umc families could travel again so summer hol in Italy or France, skiing half term in French Alps
-lots of UK breaks in Salcombe, Rock, Norfolk -Joules /Fatface replacing Boden 2023???

How can state school AND 11+ both be “trends”?

The list is clearly nonsense. Just like Cornwall and Norfolk aren't "2022 trends" because they've been popular with MC holidaymakers for years and years.

State school for majority, 11 plus for others

"Kids attending various schools" is not a 'trend' of any kind. If the MC were genuinely shifting away from private school that might be a trend. But I haven't seen any evidence that private schools are struggling to fill their places.

In my area there has been a shift, mainly due to cost of living.
