And how/why has this benefitted you?

I take vitamin D as I need a top up in winter. I also take folic acid because I have a folate deficiency which makes me feel pants if I don’t take it.

Reugny · 02/01/2023 19:50

Vitamin D as I had a severe vitamin D deficiency years ago.

Not having broken bones, not having body pain and getting fewer infections.

Redlorryyellowlorryblue · 02/01/2023 19:51

Multivitamin with iron for general health and Vitamin D to help with colds and winter bugs.

vit d3 daily
iron 2x a week
magnesium before bed as prone to leg cramps and it seems to help.

without iron I feel like shit after a couple of months.

Hidingawaytoday · 02/01/2023 20:12

Folic acid as we're ttc, and vitamin d because I felt myself getting a bit low with the winter weather and thought it would help. Seems to have worked... but might also be due to Christmas and two weeks annual leave 😆

B6 helps regulate my hormones and goodness I need all the help I can get. Vitamin d, magnesium and calcium too (all in one tablet). Has really helped with mood swings before my period. I was having a teary breakdown the day before almost every month. Now it's just go to the loo and 'oh my period started' - much better!! Even if it's just a placebo I don't care it's working!

Squabbledee · 02/01/2023 20:28

vit D & magnesium when my diet is shite and I start getting muscle pains

SquigglePigs · 02/01/2023 20:36

I try to take vitamin D and sometimes a multi-vitamin but I'm not great at remembering so I've put them on my work desk so I take them on working days at least!

MissCherryCakeyBun · 02/01/2023 20:40

Cod liver oil as it seems to help my joints, magnesium as I get leg cramps and it really helps both me and husband. I also take vit D as work indoors long hours in the winter months and a multi vitamin.
I'm 54 and tho very overweight pretty healthy. I do notice when I don't take them for a few days ( forgot when we went on holiday )

Hawkins001 · 02/01/2023 20:46

Not sure if they help, but I presume they do as it tops up any I may be lacking

a-z multi vitamins with mineral s
vitamin b complex
iron
high strength cod liver oil and fish oil

countrypunk · 02/01/2023 21:50

I've been trying to get pregnant for fucking years and my daily supplement intake has been steadily increasing in that time:

Prenatal supplement
Magnesium
Calcium
Vitamin D and Vitamin K
Coenzyme Q10
Vitamin B6
Vitamin B12
Vitamin C and zinc
Vitamin E

The only thing I've noticed is that I think the magnesium has improved my sleep quality.

ThereIsATInWater · 02/01/2023 21:55

Multivitamin with iron.
Extra strength vitamin D, bloods showed I was deficient .
Starflower oil capsules.

CeriB82 · 02/01/2023 22:39

B12 jab every 6 weeks and folic acid every day. Without it, i do not function

Meltinthemiddle · 02/01/2023 22:46

Vitamin d spray and vitamin c. Feroglobin slow release has been amazing for giving me energy, also sure it's helped me sleep better too. Its almost been life changing.

PurpleParrotfish · 02/01/2023 22:48

Calcium with vit D & magnesium. Figured it can't do any harm topping up calcium pre-menopause as my mum had osteoporosis. But I don't take the amount recommended on the bottle as it seems a bit high, just one tablet a day when I remember.

Pinky2023 · 05/12/2023 13:58

I have to take a few due to a recent bad illness which I was in hospital for 6 weeks so need them to help heal my wound and regrow cells. I did also buy a vitamin spray which was about £6 just to get extra vitamin c and d and b 12
