Is there anyway I can find a good training program or gym coach online? Need to lose weight but can’t afford a PT

Is there anyone who makes personalised programs for me to use in the small local gym? Or can I find free ones?

I love jo wicks, very motivating. Think it’s £60 for. Year, I think we’ll worth it

Seen an advert for the les mills workouts £5.99 a month on offer. I'm too skint atm to even sign up to that 😅

30 day shred with Jillian Michael's is always a good starting place, usually a couple of quid to access it but you can find the free links everywhere now.
I would recommend pairing this with the 30day yoga with Adrianne challenge and you'll notice the inches dropping off you.

Neither of those are personalised, however they both offer online communities where you have a built in support network and place to discuss progress etc.

Following! Ones mentioned are do at home I think?! I know Joe wicks is and same I joined a gym last yeah but just seem lost

Workingitout45 · 29/12/2022 13:57

Thanks. I’m keen to do avoid home workout ones though and would like a 45min work out for the gym that I can follow and feel like I actually have worked out

The good news is, exercise is an ineffective way to lose weight so spending money on a PT if your goal is weight loss would be a waste of money anyway.

I mean, exercise is a good thing to do generally so you should definitely do it, but it won't lead to weight loss unless you also manage your diet. Sorry.

A decent gym will do an induction to show you how to use the equipment and suggest a basic programme for you to follow.

I had the exact same problem! I find Kayla Itsines' workout app good- there is a program for use with weights at the gym and I think a free trial too.

There are lots of free work out plans online, here is one as an example - www.gymaholic.co/articles/women-workout-routine

Lots on Pinterest and Instagram too. If you aren’t sure how to do an exercise, YouTube!

I'm a runner, but post foot surgery and no running meant another activity, so I've started strength training with Caroline Girvan on Youtube: She's fabulous, easy to follow and lots of free programs to follow: I now have muscles I never knew existed before:

Hi. It depends on your level of experience in training. Free programmes are not personalised. If you move well and have no injuries, they can work.

HaddawayAndShite · 17/01/2023 15:19

Our local gym will do a personalised plan for £25 .. 10 weeks maybe I think it covered or 6. Do you know if their trainers offer anything similar?
