Living off grid

Think I'm about to rent a place with no mains water. Water will be delivered and stored in a tank.

Hit me up with all your good ideas and devices, like a camping washing machine etc.

We will rig up one of those over cistern hand washing basins and I have gym membership for showering, although we will put in an electric shower or a camping pump shower with a bucket heater.

Then for the bathroom sink I was going to get a drinks urn with tap and fill that with boiled water for teeth. The hand basin will be fed from the tank.

The kitchen sink will also be fed from the tank.

Drinking water will be bought. We already only drink bottled water anyway (not uk).

We have non-mains water. It's not a tank but it just comes straight from the stream up the hill (rural area). We just drink it from the tap. All other things in our house are normal, like normal shower, washing machine etc.

So I'm not really sure what the exact problem is with your supply... Is it that it is very expensive and you want to conserve water? Or is it that some household appliances are not actually plumbed in to the water tank at all?

So you want to live off grid but will buy drinking water? Doesn't sound too good for the environment all that bottled water?

You can't drink mains water here.

The issue is that there is no plumbing from the tank yet, and the tank is only tiny, a bigger one or a few more need to be put in.

So your landlord will sort the issue then? It's not clear if you are just looking for ideas that will tide you over for a month, or whether you want to invest a lot of your own money in long term solutions?

Where are you?

We lived somewhere where water was tanked in but it didn't impact the house running.

We did use bottled water for drinking.

When is the tank going to be plumbed in? Once it is you should be able to run your house normally.
I wouldn't spend a lot of money on equipment just get the landlord to get cracking on the plumbing.
