Having two different single duvets when sharing a double bed

Perimenopause and general difference in body thermostat is making it very hard for DH and I to agree on a duvet. Has anyone succeeded in being comfortable with two single duvets when sharing a bed?

Would two ordinary singles work on a king-size bed or do they keep falling off the sides in the night?!

Also here for any luxury duvet suggestions...

We recently changed to two singles on a king and I think it'll get us through at least the next 10 years of marriage without argument

Get a wool duvet. They’re good at regulating the temperature and nice and weighty without being hot.

We have 2 singles which works well but I gave a longer duvet as single too short

We have a superking with a summer duvet - you can attach another part to it but have t done that for years!! I also have a weighted blanket on my side - it's really calming and helps with my peri restless legs. Weighted blankets keep you both warm and cool and help with so many peri symptoms, anxiety etc - I couldn't recommend highly enough!!

Using two singles instead of a double is the normal way to do it in Finland, I don't think I know any couple that actually uses a double as two singles works so much better (we actually use three in the winter, one on OH and two on me because I feel the cold more)

We've got two doubles on a superking (read about it on here years ago), and yes, massive lump in the middle. I find the neatest way to make the bed is to fold them both in half with the folds back to back in the middle. It would be way too much duvet for a king I think.

Also, they overhang too much unless you have a duvet wall between you, so I can't easily stick a leg out when in hot. I'd go for two singles on a king.

We have the ikea singles that are wider than a UK single - it does mean you have to buy the covers from ikea though

We have Ikea singles (150x200cm) on a King Size bed which is perfect imo

I always liked the idea after travelling to Germany where it's normal to have two duvets.
I switched to two singles when I was menopausal 10 years ago. We have a KS bed and it was transforming. I have a wool duvet 2 tog in summer and 7 in winter. DH has a massive 15 tog.
They don't look as pretty but they don't fall off and you never get it yanked.

We have two doubles or our king size, works a treat for us.

Same for us - 2 doubles on a king size, no pulling the duvet off me thank you!

we have two singles on a kingsize. Mine is always thicker than DH's, and we both manage to completely tuck ourselves in. He also wants the end loose, so he can keep his feet out from under the duvet, I want the end tucked in. The only issue could be our kids getting into our bed during the night, but they just snuggle into one of us, and sometimes have a cold back. That doesn't seem to deter them, judging by the number of times they come to us.
