How often do you see your friends?

Inspired by another thread, how often do you see / want to see your friends?

I think a couple of times a year is enough, what do you think?

With my main group of friends it used to be weekly as we had one evening in the pub on a regular day. As we have got older this has been reduced. Now it is once a month if we are lucky and we don't always all turn up.

I have other friends that have moved away, so we see them less but still every six months or so and sometimes we go on holiday together so will spend longer with them.

Probably about 3-4 times per year.

This does resonate with me. I meet up less since I had DD.

One friend I see once a week for coffee and cake after worK and another friend I see once every 8 weeks for a girls night out.

I see my best friend almost every day and another set of best friends I see twice a year. Doesn’t change either of our friendships at all

Friends at work, every day. We’re not super close but travel a lot together so relationships are really good in general.

Good local group of friends, every week or two. We catch up and go for dinner or for a walk but I wouldn’t call them first in a real emergency.

My closest friends, couple of times a year. Three of them live a 1.5 hour flight away. The other lives a 3 hour flight away in the opposite direction. We rarely manage to all be in the same country at the same time.

I see my 3 closest friends every weekend, they live nearby and we take it in turns to invade each other's houses (with dc & dh's too!) or occasionally go to a gig, the pub etc

Friends that don't live so nearby, I see maybe monthly or those further away yearly or whenever there's a special birthday etc
I am lucky to have lots of lovely friends, many of whom I've known for 30 plus years!
