I spend far too long just scrolling and playing pointless games.
I need to be more present .

Any hints or tips gratefully received.

I used to be a bug reader and I have buggered up my attention span. My first goal is to read a book.

This does sound a bit pathetic I know , but I also know I am not the only one struggling with this.

Don't just delete the apps off your phones, deactivate the accounts too. You'll be surprised how well you can function without them!

The main issue I have with phone use is social media. I didn't use social media at all before I had a child - I almost feel like it's necessary these days with a young child as so many activities and groups utilise social media.

And then there is that sense of isolation that can come from spending lots of time 1-1 with a young DC. Social media offers a sense of connection with other adults, I guess it's designed to be addictive in that way.
