Dc will be in bed in an hour, I feel like I should watch something suitably festive!

Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. I can forgive any number of terrible English accents and playing fast and loose with geography for the wonderful Alan Rickman.

Fuwari · 25/12/2022 21:17

We watched Alice in borderland. Not at all festive but we want to watch all of season 2 while dd is home from uni and we can watch together.

Ah do you you also have trauma from the recent film adaptation?

I didn't get further than reading the reviews. Ditto the appalling mess of "The Little White Horse".

It should be a capital offense taking a beautiful book like that and ruining it.😜

chunkiest · 25/12/2022 21:36

Lord of the Rings Smile

VanillaImpulse · 25/12/2022 23:34

Motherland Xmas special was brilliant - fav line was "Excuse me, there's a queue, Philip Schofield!" from Amanda 😂

Now gone back in time 30 years and watching vicar of dibley!

VanillaImpulse · 25/12/2022 23:37

Actually I just googled, it's (only!) 23 years old

NewToWoo · 25/12/2022 23:39

Die Hard. None of us had seen it. But DH said he really didn;t fancy it, so he did all the washing up while (adult) Dc and me sat and laughed at Bruce Willis's ever-changing vest colours.

It is indeed an excellent soundtrack. And such a good film, loved Corey Haim and his gorgeous dog. And grandpa Grin

We very much enjoyed "Your Christmas or Mine" on Amazon Prime (a recommendation from another thread).
