Any dermatologists or GPs who can advise? Desperate!

I've had eye issues since Sept (dry, itchy etc) that has now developed into my eczema reappearing around the eye and eyelid. My left eye has been awful for several months now and I'm at the end of my tether! I can't see the Dr about it as they're short staffed. I have attached a pic.

I've tried all manner of things on it and was prescribed Epimax (as well as steroids for reoccurring eczema on my hands) that doesn't help much. I only use the steriods on my hands. Tried childs farm moisturiser too. Now wondering if I could use a weaker steroid cream on it to get me through Christmas which I'm honestly dreading because I frankly look God awful!!

Would that cause issues down the line? What else can I do? Honestly I'm so, so down about it, it's making me not want to leave the house. Im going to the cinema this morning,so may not reply for a while - thank god its dark in there! Thanks

I'd stop using harsh ingredients on it.
Your eye skin is extremely delicate and can take a long time to heal.
Definitely no steroids on it.

My mum had similar and used coconut oil lightly patted on a few times a day.

It worked. It also worked on recurring eczema behind her ears. So I'd maybe suggest that.

Not a dermatologist but had similar sime years ago. Have you tried the 0.5 or 1% hydrocortisone you can get in the chemist? I would use that and a dab of vaseline at other times to act as a barrier and let it heal. Sorry OP, looks sore!

My dermatologist and GP told me to used hydrocortisone on my eyelids but to just be careful not to put it in my eye.

I wouldnt use vaseline though, that makes excema way worse.

And fwiw I use hydrocortisone on my eyelids on and off all year (heat and cold make them flare) and they are fine, no eye issues.

I also use hydrocortisone when I excema on my nipples and around my mouth - all with the explicit instruction of a consultant dermatologist.

Maybe try blephasol.

Not a GP or Derm but I have experience in skincare industry and would advise you show your local pharamcist this so they can give you a topical treatment that is suitable for the area.

Don't put anything else there. The skin is VERY delicate and even after this heals you could be left with discolouration that is permanent.

Don't try home remedies or anything else. It is too risky. Pharmacist will help you as a walk in.
