Was I in the wrong for saying this?

My boss called a difficult of ours a wanker and I agreed and repeated it… I feel about 13 again (plot twist I’m 33) but my dm overheard as I’m staying with family for Xmas and said it was unladylike of me to repeat it etc etc, I should have just let him say it.

so was I being unladylike / unprofessional?

Unprofessional, yes, as was your boss. I don't think acceptable behaviour differs between men and women - therefore can't comment on the "unladylike". Rude, yes, but so was he.

Unprofessional maybe, but i hate the term ladylike. If you want to swear, do it. It doesn't make you any less of a 'lady'

Unprofessional, yes. "Unladylike" has got naff all to do with anything, but I agree that I wouldn't have repeated it back to your boss. I'd have probably just said, "yes, client does make things difficult..." and described the problematic behaviours rather than repeated the insult.

Sorry that should a difficult client.

he really is awful (client not boss)
