Films which are good for showing teens it's not all about looks?

Can anyone recommend some films where main characters are not good looking, or which explicitly emphasise unimportance of looks?

There's a series on Netflix called Never have I ever. It's about a girl of Indian background, Hindu family at an American high school. None of the 3 main girls are typically stunning and the ridiculously beautiful boy she goes after at the start is revealed later to be not so great, whereas the average looking male friend....you get the idea. Some really interesting storylines about the Hindu angle as well, their customs and ideals Vs American.

Young Royals is good and it struck me while watching it that all the cast look like real teenagers , some with acne/scars , some a bit geeky looking or slightly overweight and some ,although attractive ,not overly made up to look glossy and perfect like they are in so many other teen drama series. I found it refreshing.
