If you could only eat 5 different foods forever

So let's say nutrition was no object and you could eat unlimited amounts of 5 different foods for the rest of your life but nothing else.

We're talking about individual items and not full meals so you could say things like chicken, bread, chocolate, apples, basil, eggs, chillis, carrots, pasta, bacon...

And let's say you also have access to oil/butter and salt and pepper.

Which 5 foods would you pick?

Trying to pick things that would give a reasonable variety so that I wouldn't get malnutrition, but I think I probably would get malnutrition.

Does anyone know what the best choices would be for the most nutritionally complete diet? I assume potatoes is the correct choice of carb? They seem like they have more going on than bread, rice and pasta. Maybe some kind of fish would be a better protein.
