Run down but need to keep going- tips?

I’ve got a big exam next week. I’m stressed and tired and not sleeping brilliantly.

Think my body is starting to struggle a bit- I’ve had a cut in the corner of my mouth which just won’t heal, and now I’ve developed a bumpy rash on the same side (both not usual for me).

Once I’m through the exam I can rest properly. Any tips for keeping going? I’ve cut out alcohol, am taking my vits and eating healthily, getting early nights where I can. Have cancelled evening engagements (except a couple of concerts I can’t miss).

Just wondered if anyone had any advice for things I can do. Any supplements you’d suggest?

I would suggest probiotics or kefir, I always notic the difference when I stop taking them/start again. More energy, better tummy, clearer skin etc.

Buy yourself a big bottle of metatone tonic and take that.

Well, not that healthy, but when I'm on my knees but absolutely must keep going temporarily, I take Day Nurse.

Watching with interest as I feel like I’m hanging on until annual leave in Jan.

You're doing all the right things. Can you fit in:

Getting 30 mins of direct daylight each morning - this is the best way of improving how well you sleep. E.g. if you are walking the dog anyway, schedule it for the morning. Or make work phone calls outside rather than inside.

Drink lots of water.

Even 5 mins of youtube yoga will help release tension. Definitely worth the time, for the benefit it will give.

Good luck with the exam!

You might be anaemic, that can cause sores on the corners of the mouth.

ScarlettOHaraHamiltonKennedyButler · 14/12/2022 20:09

I get those sores at the side of my mouth, for me its always a sign that I am lacking B vitamins but there can be other causes. They always go away when I up my intake of B vitamin rich foods or supplements.

I always put sudocream on them too which helps.

Other than that I would recommend getting outside at lease once a day.

Thanks, everyone. Kefir is a great idea- I really like it so that’s no hardship. I haven’t heard of Metatone but will look into that.

I generally walk the dog in the morning so am sorted there but will try to add in a bit of yoga too.

B vits and iron- good ideas.

Will look into Day Nurse as well- thank you!

I love metatone, always have it following an illness or just generally run down,

Second Anaemia OP, the cuts on side of mouth won’t go away on their own - blood test and if confirmed you’ll get stronger Iron tablets from GP. This will account for tiredness, feeling run down too xx
