I have a very small back garden and I had to remove a small Bush take space for a shed. I felt terrible as the Bees love it in summer when it flowers (ill be planting loads to compensate (sorry Bees 🐝)
I'm hoping all is not lost as there is a space at the back side of the shed and I'm thinking I could keep a few branches and twigs back to put behind there for hedgehogs?
We saw some in the garden when we first moved in but the grass hadn't been cut for well over a year and since we cut it they haven't been back as far as I know.
So does anyone know if they is a good idea or would having organic material rotting over time behind the shed cause it to rot too? I'm assuming the lack of air flow could become a problem.
I'd love to have a wildlife garden full of flowers and a pond but it's not really big at all.
(If anyone has any verticle ideas for wildlife such as how I can make a 'hanging pond' work I'd be very grateful!
