WWYD situation
A married couple send you a Christmas card with £30 for you and £30 each for your 2 children. ( total of £90. )

How much would you send back if you Single parent. Both parties have asked for money for gifts.

Option 1
£30 for each adult and £30 for the 2 children so a total of £120. There for paying double as there is only 1 adult giving back.

option 2
£15 for each adult as that's what they sent you each if you work it out as sending the money per person and not as a couple. Then send £15 for each child as that's what each adult sent your child.
Total of £60

Option 3
Send back the same amount they sent you £90. Working it out as £15 for each adult and £30 for each child.

I'd wonder how a married couple had the cheek to ask me to give them money for Christmas!

There going on holiday for Christmas, they want spending money rather than gifts. We would usually by each other gifts.

Just send the money back and next year agree not to bother and just send a card

I'd just send the money back that they sent you. Preferably with a note saying let's not bother with 'gifts' anymore as I am literally just returning your money...
