And it's still on my 16.5 degrees. I have never had the heating on overnight but I'm wondering if I should?? It is an old house, draughty. Obviously uts bloody freezing outside, thick freezing fog here. I'm not sure what the temp was this morning when I got up, I didn't check, but I'm sure it must have been pretty low, for it to still only be 16.5, but also that the heatingvus fighting a losibg battke against the outside temp, cold wi dies, freezing tiled floor etc.

The loft was already boarded but was replaced a few years ago when I had a burst pipe in the loft (it was even colder then!) , the builders told me the insulation wasn't up to scratch, not thick enough, and asked if I wanted the whole lot doing. I don't know how thick it is though.thicker than previously!

Still only 17.5. I may have to leave it on overnight.

Same here, my thermostat set at 20 but it hasn't got anywhere near!
First time that has ever happened! 🥶

My thermostat has been at 19° all day since 7 am and I’ve been fine sitting down, wearing a fleece too but no t shirt underneath. Heating is set at 10° from 10 pm and I’m now very cold! I have my winter weight duvet on but my feet and nose are really cold and I’m trying to use my iPad without exposing my arms! I don’t recall feeling this cold before!

The house must be above 10° as the heating has not come on but I might have to get up and boost it for a couple of hours. Normally when in bed I get too hot and throw off the duvet!

Definitely turn the temperature up on your boiler! I had to do this the other day when I could not get the lounge up to 18.5 degrees even after having the heating on for hours. Put it up 5 degrees and it's made quite a difference. Also do some basic draught proofing and insulating: fill gaps in window frames, close curtains where possible and buy radiator foil. I can't wait for my foil to arrive, so fed up of never being quite warm enough and paying a tenner a day for the privilege!
