Signs from the dead

So I tried watching 'The Good Place' on Netflix which was utterly awful and I turned it off after a while but then a 6 part series called 'Surviving Death' popped up on my home screen. Really interesting take on people's near death experiences and then the fourth episode is about people getting signs from the dead.

About 20 years ago my best friend died. I was living abroad at the time. But at the time where she would have died I had an experience where a hummingbird hovered in front of my face for what must have been about 20 seconds. It felt longer but in reality must have been about that long. I never experienced anything like it and nor had anyone else living in that area that I spoke to. Also her parents found a butterfly in her hospital room after she died, I'm not at all normally inclined to think there could be signs from the dead but these two species are talked about loads in this episode. Also my Nan said she felt a kiss one morning, at the time when she knows her best friend would have died.

Have you ever experienced anything like this?

I used to think I believed in the afterlife
But my mum died recently and I would give anything to have a sign that somehow, she is still around.
It makes me feel really sad because I really believed that if she could she would have let me know she's ok.

No I don't believe in any afterlife

I think once you are dead that's it. Gone.

No not at all.
Funny thing is I used to disbelieve these ''visits from the dead''when told to me by other people, but tend to believe them now.
I have had signs from other dead relatives as well.Someone I once knew who considered herself to be knowledgeable in these things said the dead visit you by doing familiar things so you would know it was them.

I don’t think I really believe in this woo stuff, but one hell of a coincidence happened the night before my grandmother’s funeral.

She loved Robins, loved feeding them and seeing them. When she passed away, I bought a rose plant, which was hers and my Grandad’s favourite rose type. I planted it the night before her funeral. Suddenly a robin appeared from nowhere and landed in the rose bush and sat looking at me. I’ve never seen one in our garden before or since. Maybe it was her.

My darling aunty died and at the first family gathering after things had settled i said out loud "we're having a lovely time aunty blueshoes but it would be so much better if you were here". As clear as a bell i heard her say "i am, my sweet, I'm in your heart". I am so so not woo but that really happened. Lots of love to those coming to terms with loss xx

In the days after my mum died I heard the doorbell ring in my sleep and it woke me up. This happened three times. She would always ask me to give her three rings to let her know I was safely home and I believe it was her way of telling me the same.

I had a very vivid dream of her months later where she appeared at the window, I let her in and she hugged me and told me she missed me.

My dad died suddenly 7 weeks ago .. I’m his executor and dealing with his estate on top of trying to cope with the loss .. he had premium bonds as well as other stuff plus his house .. Dad Woukd always say while he was alive that he’d help me out if ever I needed it but I never asked him for anything

Two weeks ago we woke up to a bathroom leak .. and called a plumber .. he discovered that there was a leak from the hot pipe under the bath .. fixed it and handed me the bill for £100
Sighed s bit as I’ve had a few expenses to deal with lately … but no issue to pay although I could have done without it .
Ten mins after he left .. the post arrived with a letter from National savings saying Dads bonds had won a monthly prize the day he died before they froze them and enclosed a cheque for me … for £100

My husband was in long term care with dementia. I went to bed one night and started having chest pains. I thought I was having a heart attack. Then the phone rang. It was the home telling me he had passed away.

God the phones - two people close to me gone and the phones everytime. There is something.

There’s also a lot of books on quantum physics and life after death.

Apparently it’s been proved there are more dimensions but we still only have access to 3. I think there are 7 altogether.

I'm cynical about anything like this. It does feel shit when people or animals you love die and you never have anything like this happen. It's never been my experience. 😞
