Quick question about Fragmin injection

DH has been injecting me for 4 weeks, following surgery; another two weeks to go.

Today he tested positive for Covid and is feeling rough, so suggested I did it myself whilst he supervised.

It's difficult for me to see my tummy, which makes it harder, but I rolled my tummy and he said the site was OK.

I felt it go in OK and pushed the plunger (or thought I did), pulled it out and DH said it was still in the syringe, so I pushed it back in and made sure I pushed the plunger properly.

Now I'm worrying that I shouldn't have done it, that it was dangerous to put it back in and try again...that the bubble may have come out originally and wasn't there when I did it again.

I was doing it in too much of a hurry as I was scared and didn't think properly.

what are you scared about? If you think about it, the 2nd injection is like you pricking yourself with a needle again. If you prick yourself with a needle, it hurts but it’s usually fine.

with any wound to the skin, it could get infected - but that’s the same if you fall down or cut yourself with the kitchen knife. So if you notice redness/ soreness in the area that is getting bigger, go to see GP and you’ll probably get some antibiotics.

if You’re scared about a tiny air bubble being injected, that’s not a worry - it’s very superficial and it’s not going to go into a blood vessel or anything.

if you’re worried about not receiving the right amount of blood thinner, then usually the dose of fragmin given after surgery is very low (unless you are usually on oral blood thinners and they gave you a larger than normal dose of fragmin). It shouldn’t matter even if you didn’t receive the full dose today.

i took fragmin for the duration of 3 pregnancies and used to work in healthcare.

I don't see any issue at all, what bubble do you mean?
