A bit TMI I know but I'm really anxious.

Yesterday when wiping I realised I had a baked bean size lump in my labia, it has no head and is reddish in colour. I've never had any issues like this before and it is SO painful. I can't even lie down it's right at the top too where things are most sensitive and it's really sore. I've googled and have terrified myself because Vulva cancer has come up. Would it suddenly spring up and be this painful? Recent smear was fine, I have cervical ectropion but nothing else and I really, really, really don't want to go to the Dr about it, please help!

I get these cysts quite a lot mainly due to shaving/ingrown hairs.

The location you describe though is not where I have ever had one so I'm not sure it's a cysts you have OP

I get these all the time too, like another poster - due to friction, hormones, ingrown hairs. Magnesium sulfate paste is my absolute go to.

Bathe it in warm salt water ,it'll be fine.
