?scarlet fever as an adult - or am I being daft?

Been up all night last night fever, sweats, sleep talking (woke myself up), headache and horrendous nightmares .

I’ve managed to drag myself to the shower and I’ve got a rash across my face and chest - not sandpapery, bright red/flushed, my tongue looks completely normal .

Muscle aches/shivery, can’t get warm or too warm, and very, very tired .

I’m away to crawl back into bed but I’m a student in shared accommodation and wondering if I should really be ringing GP or isolating myself or something .

I would ring 111 for advice. 45 adults have died from strep B.

You need antibiotics absolutely contact your doctor.

Your not being daft, anyone can get Scarlett fever. It dosent sound like it at the moment but keep checking for a red blotchy tongue which can also have a white coating. Could be flu or COVID. If it doubt ring 111.

I had scarlet fever as an adult. My tongue got a white coating on it and my throat was really sore. I caught it from my kids. We all needed antibiotics.

I had scarlet fever when I was 27. I had to have antibiotics for it.

I had scarlet fever when I was about 17. I think it's more common in children, but not rare in teens and adults.
