Minimum house temp to stop pipes freezing and being damaged?

We’re away for a week, thought had set thermostat to 12, but house is going down to 9’ which Google tells me will put at risk of pipes freezing by as no boost during morning or evening. Do I need to get someone to go in and turn the thermostat up for me so we’re not in agit when we get back as it’s freezing overnight properly now?

The default frost protection setting on our Hive unit is 7 degrees.

Thanks that’s good to know, google seemed to tell me higher which I couldn’t find any evidence for

We live rurally and have an outbuilding with exposed water pipes and no form of heating which is separate from the house. We drain the system and turn off the water if the temperature is due to go below -2 but realistically the pipes will fully freeze at -4. They have burst before and it's no fun.
I'm not sure how this equates to your situation but I'm surprised at the higher temperatures you've mentioned.

Your insurance company will specify a minimum temperature required to keep your insurance valid. It may be worth checking what that is. I think is usually around 12/14
