If you have a 14/15 year old boy what are you getting them for Christmas?

Firstly he is not my son - he is a refugee from Ukraine so English is not his first language and although he's getting better at it, it does cut out some items.

My budget is about £35 plus about another £20 for stocking fillers. He will also I assume get presents from his mum and gran who are with him but I certainly don't want to leave him out.

He's not sporty. He seems a bit introvert but honestly that could be shyness, language difficulties and general stress. He does seem to play computer games. He loves maths and art and animals. He spends a lot of time online talking to his friends who are now scattered across Europe Sad

I'm at a bit of a loss. I really want to get him something nice as he's left most of his possessions behind in Ukraine and left with what he could get in a back pack. We gave him a laptop when he arrived (second hand but in very good condition).

So ideas for stocking fillers and main present would be great please. I really want him to have things that will be both useful to him and he'll enjoy having

My 15yo who likes art has a watercolour set on his wish list. I’ve previously bought drawing pencils and pads for him. Small ones he can carry around to use when he fancied. That was successful, I’d turn around in the car and he’d be drawing something or at a restaurant.

Stocking:

Socks (DS always gets these off the dog!)

Keyring (so he feels a little more independent if he has his own keys) plus nice hanging off a backpack. You could find on of the computer game/s he plays. DS loves a keyring, has one that's his initial, a playstation one, a star wars one, a telescopic backscratcher was a huge hit! Fidget cube one... Oh lots.

Any hair products - gel/wax?

Fancy toiletries?

Money for gaming (Xbox voucher, or Robux for Roblox etc)

Selection box/nice sweets.
A nice bauble for the Xmas tree, that he can eventually take back home with him, along with some good memories (hopefully).

Main gifts:

Hoodie?
Velvetiser might go down well (no idea of cost, sorry).
Fuzzy onesie
Gloves, hat and scarf? From a football team he likes.

How about a Scrawlrbox art set? The previous boxes are great value. Have a look on the Shop app.

Or a set of paints or cool pens and a drawing pad?

A tuck box of sweets and crisps would probably go down well.

How about a book or magazine on a topic he likes?

My 14yr old asked for a gaming mug/coaster. I also bought a gaming themed duvet cover that glows in the dark. Would he like anything like that? Last year a beanie hat with built in speakers went down well as did a Greggs voucher!

What about some in ear earphones? You can get some for that sort of price I think.. like cheaper air pods x

My 15 yr old loved the fake Oodie I got him. Was about £20.

Has he got a decent mouse for the laptop? How about a razer one - you can get them from about £20

Oh, and Matt Parker books (maths)

Rubix cube, mini-Bopit, head phones for his laptop?

My ds (14) has chocolate elf, puncture repair kit, gloves, head phones, battery lantern, mini cook book in his stocking. All were less than £15

I have bought my teen DS binoculars for star gazing. He can attach his phone to them so he can photograph whatever it is he watches in the sky. I got him this instead of a telescope as it's more portable and he'll use these more. I think I paid £37 in the Black Friday sale, and they’ve gone up in price since then, but there’s cheaper alternatives.
