So this person is going into hospital over Xmas to have a tumor removed I forget whats its called but its not cancer its set between his brain and ear. And can effect facial nerves and balance. And probably other things.

Anyway he should be in hospital for 10 days over the Xmas period then its 3 months recovering.

So what can I get him for Xmas. I don't mind paying out a bit for something extra special. Maybe somthing that might help him pass the time in hospital /make things easier for him.

Up to 200 I guess. Although I would not normally spend that much. But I think k the situation is a bit different.

How old? Perhaps a handheld game console? iPad? Kindle?

If it's an adult, do they have support at home? When I was recovering my favourite gift was vouchers for nice food and meal deliveries so I didn't have to shop or cook.

I’d make him a hamper with the following:
Softop socks
Magazines
Puzzle books
Miniature toiletries packed in a little wash bag for hospital
Black-out sleeping mask and ear plugs for hospital
Bamboo beanie hat as he may have to have some hair taken off
Nice snacks that don’t have to be kept in the fridge like florentines, mint humbugs, sherbet lemons, figs, dates, unsalted nuts….
Decaf tea or coffee

If his vision may be affected then perhaps gift him an audible subscription that he can use with the app on his phone. Audiobooks might be a good distraction from the pain and less overstimulating than TV on a tablet.
