A camp or air-bed that would be suitable for an elderly person

Please could I have some recommendations for a single camp bed or air bed that is as comfortable as possible and won’t deflate overnight?

Thank you! 🛏️

We have one of those folding sofas, a small double from M&S with a thick topper. I'm told it's comfortable enough for a night or two.

Do you have any DC that would give up their beds?

kicking kids out of their rooms at Christmas is mean.

The Jay-Be ones look good too, thank you.

I'd definitely recommend a fouton chair that folds into a bed. I had one in my room as a teenager for when friends slept over and it was really comfy.

We've got a full height single air bed .. Aldi .. bought it a couple of years ago . It's bloody brilliant

Something definitely with height. As they get older they don't want to be struggling to get off the floor. Also, if you go for a put you up, don't go for the thinnest mattress. We have a medium height mattress and put a quilt underneath - my DM says she comfortable and sleeps well, but she's less than 8st.

Single camp bed with a self inflating mattress on top (min 10cm thickness) we've been camping for years and been through multiple air beds. This has been the best thing by far 😊

airbeds can get awfully cold

You need lots of layers between you and the airbed. I put one or two old wool (proper wool from a sheep, not acrylic) blankets on the airbed (we've also got old aerobeds), then a quilted undersheet then a brushed cotton fitted sheet on an airbed then a 13 tog duvet on top. But it's the layers below that are the most important for keeping warm.

Have you got a local Facebook page that someone could loan you one for a few nights?

Dreams is having a sale and they sell airbeds.

Jaybe folding beds are great. Ours is kept under our bed when not in use. Fine for our family member in their 70s.

We have one of these in our office - very comfy and not too low. You can sometimes find them on Facebook marketplace/gumtree second hand. www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/lycksele-loevas-chair-bed-vansbro-dark-grey-s49386996/#content
