We arranged to meet before the wedding to check everyone involved wasn't a psycho or anything! We told each other what we looked like and what we were wearing. Friend and I had a Danish and a cup of tea 😂 and then we went up to the registry office which is in a grand building at the top of town. It was an absolutely beautiful day today after weeks of gales and rain, and Penzance was looking at its best. The registrar was a lovely chap - really twinkly and avuncular. The sun was streaming through the windows and it was a simple, beautiful ceremony. They said their vows and we then signed the register - I nearly signed on the wrong line . We went outside onto the steps and snapped a few photos in the afternoon light.

They asked us for a drink to celebrate, so we then went to a Cornish gin tasting shop. The bar bit wasn't open, but the owners were friends of my friend and they were really lovely! They congratulated @WitnessWanted and her gorgeous chap and gave us all a mulled cider on the house and we all chatted and then we all went our separate ways. There was another beautiful sunset and the moon was out.

I'm so glad I posted on this thread! Congratulations to Witness and her new husband!
